Sophomore Abby Cochenour led with 32 points,Addison Cochenour another Sophomore chipped in 10 points and Junior Andee Lester had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Congrats to Coach Hale on his first win as head coach at Eastern.

Went from very few fouls called Thursday night to over 40 called today. It was a real head scratcher. Very little contact needed to get the whistle today. You hate it for both teams, just kills the game.
Next up for Waverly is the Eagles of Eastern (Pike).

Jayne Six led the Lady Cats with 19 points. Laikyn Imler added 14 and Emily Young 11.
Lady Cats 4 and 1 overall and a 4 and 0 start to the league

Huntington defeated West Union 74-61
Allison Basye finished with 40pts (new school record) Megan Steele with 10 points while Emily Haubeil and Katie Hirsch each added nine points.
Hirsch also had seven rebounds while Carly Dyer added eight of her own. Haubeil passed out three assists and swiped five steals while Steele had five assists and three steals.

Have seen both teams this year, I think that Waverly will be a little to much for Eastern. Abby Cochenour will get her points though for Eastern. I could be wrong though, the game that I saw Eastern play they had way to many turnovers to beat a good team.
