Waterford vs Newark Catholic @ 5:30 at Pickerington

Peebles vs Berne Union @ 8:00 at Pickerington.

This regional is pretty tough, and could perhaps be the most intense regional competition in recent memory for D4 girls.

Before yesterday (Saturday), I had the regional final pinged as Berne vs NC/Notre Dame with a trip to the Final Four on the line. That has since changed. I knew Peebles was pretty tough, but the way they dominated Trimble makes me think they're going to be a decent favorite against BU. Had it been a much closer District Final between Peebles and Trimble, I would've taken Berne to go all the way. Now? Not so much...

Waterford beating PND surprised me, but I admittedly have very little knowledge on what all the Lady Cats have this year. Newark Catholic has played a pretty tough schedule -- they have some decent height and a freshman who is really, really good. I'm not too sure what they all have in the depth department, though. NC can, and will, shoot the lights out if need be. The Lady Green Wave shot 6/11 from beyond the arc in the first half yesterday, dooming us.

No disrespect to either NC or Waterford, but I think the two best teams in this regional are facing off in the 8pm game.

I'll take Peebles over BU (by 7), NC over Waterford (by 3) and Peebles over NC (by 12.) But man... I don't want to have to pick against BU. I genuinely believe BU has what it takes to make the state title game (as much as it pains me to say it.) Guess we'll find out Thursday!

Congrats to all, the four best teams advanced to regionals. I say Peebles makes it to state, best Div 4 team in region. I would say Waterford had easiest way into regionals. Newark Catholic will advance to regional finals.But Peebles is a beast in Div 4 plus the best player in the region and maybe top in state .

From what I am hearing Pickerington North HS is only pulling out one side of the bleachers for the D4 games Thursday and Saturday. Around 80 tickets per team.

Yes that's the word. Bench side will be left open to do that 6 foot spacing. Seats will be kept for all players and coaches. Each player will have their own seat and towel is what I've heard.

Games have been moved to Southeastern in Chillicothe.

Waterford had the easiest way into regionals? Remind me who the number one seed was again?

The regional game is now to be played at Southeastern high school instead of Pickerington. Peebles vs Berne Union will be at 8:00 Thursday.
