As long as Coach Close is at Waterford they will always be tough. He’s one of the best coaches in the state.

Dont sleep on the Marietta girls this year! They will hard to handle for anyone . Leigha Lauer, Saylor Wharff, Jacey McKnight. Maddie Hogue can score and play tough defense . Good luck to the 2-0 Tigers. Marietta girls are very athletic, they have great girls volleyball and soccer teams also , which helps with overall program. Look for a deep run this year.

Don't forget the Athens Bulldogs. Even though they are young, they are led by the TVC Coach of the year. Athletic group of girls that have bought into his system.
He has been committed to building a strong program from the ground up and it is starting to pay off.

Fort Frye does travels to Portsmouth to play the Trojans in the Battle in the740 at Shawnee State University on December 10, 2023 at 2pm. Warren also plays in this event Against Bloom Carroll featuring first team All Ohio guard Emily Bratton on December 9th at 11am. The other girls games in this event has Worthington Christian playing Portmouth Notre Dame at 12:30 on the 9th and Fairland who participated in the Final Four last season playing Reynoldsburg who won the DI State Championship two years ago at 2pm. Great games and matchups!

Huge MVL game Saturday as John Glenn plays at Sheridan. Winner is in the MVL drivers seat.
Sheridan returns their entire rotation from last year, JG returns all but 1 key contributor but added a transfer from Rosecrans.
Should be a great game!
