OHSAA D2 Sweet 16: 1 Fairland (24-1) v. 1 West Muskingum (23-3) @ Zanesville HS, 03/05 @ 6:00

West Muskingum finished behind Sheridan in the MVL, and are on a 5 game win streak and have defeated Zanesville, Coshocton, Philo, and West Holmes to get to the Sweet 16.
The Lady Dragons are on a 13 game win streak, and have beat Gallia Academy, Warren, and Unioto to earn their spot in the Sweet 16.
The game is being played right down the road from West Muskingum HS at Zanesville HS, so it will probably feel like a home game for the Tornadoes.
MaxPreps has the Lady Dragons at #2 in OHSAA Division II and the Tornadoes at #38.
I don't know much about WM other than what I can find on the internet. They look to be a solid team based on their record and the scores I have seen from them.
That being said, if Coach Buch and Co. continue firing on all cylinders and playing well, I believe this will be another stop on their way to the Final 4 and bringing the first State Championship in school history.

Keep making shots and it’s another sizeable win
I do think Sheridan will be a much larger task, but the Dragons will still be favorites.

Fairland rolls to a Regional Final matchup with Sheridan. Everyone in the East district ran away from West for some reason. They will look to slow the game down and grind it out on the defensive end. Fairland will have a massive advantage of size and on the boards.

Sheridan will be a formidable matchup for the dragons. They are ranked third in the state for a reason. Have to beat west muskingham first, but I say dragons will beat Sheridan by double digits after seeing them play. JMO

Best wishes to the Lady Dragons from this Portsmouth Trojans fan. The OVC has 2 teams in the Sweet Sixteen (PHS and FHS), and both have a great opportunity to make the Final 4.
