So I have watched the Jeeps play 6 times this year and not one time I was impressed. I feel like the administration should maybe look into a new coach... The coach in question has had 5 really good teams and could not reach the regional level even with the claxon girl who is playing college hoops. and I feel like this team should of never been down 29-11 to oak hill and then you play a run and gun offense and shoot a bunch of threes and can barley convert I feel like the coach needs to switch something up he doesn't run any type of offense or defensive schemes he is easily exposed by bad teams... Maybe we should look at someone who's newer to the coaching pool or maybe someone who will come in and implant there offensive mind set and not just let the 18 three pointers a game fly. Also I am not the only one who is complaining about this guy 80% of the team hates him as a coach and says he doesn't even coach them and there practices are awful And same with parents people are starting to notice it and it's not going well the records are there to show.

Did you watch their JVs last year? Or them when Claxon and Zimmerman were banged up?

I’m not sure it matters who is on the sidelines this current season. Now, if you want to say that’s because of how the program has been built, I’m cool with that. But, there’s just not a whole lot of basketball talent currently. They have won a whole lot of games over the past few years and seemed to play the right way though, so I’m sure that will be considered.

I can't comment on the coaching but just for some context -
2024 record 13-11 Lost to Portsmouth who went to state.
2023 record 13-10 Lost to Chesapeake who was good and lost their next game to a very good Wheelersburg team that year.
2022 record 20-5 Lost to a strong and state ranked Trimble team who lost in regional final to eventual state champ Waterford.
2021 record 14-8 Lost to a very good Waterford team that went to state.
My Point is that sometimes the tournament is bad matchups or bad luck in the seeding.

I agree with what you guys are saying but this isn't some bs post just to start drama this is a actual post to show how the coaching at sw is getting bad in the girls. Now when Kristie was the coach it was a whole different story, I just feel like the coaching change should be looked at maybe after this season maybe hire someone new who has some fire in them to be able to lead them some where good with this junior high class coming up and another claxon girl who has a promising future.

I mean what your saying is true but I feel like with how many complaints and failed seasons it might be time to send him packing and look out there for someone.

I think that Dutiel is a solid coach. Just hasn't been able to get over the hump, he is a great guy who loves SW. But I do agree that the administration should look for a coach unless something turns around. Give him another year and see what he can do with the upcoming freshman class that are very good. If he can't get the job done with that class, I don't think he ever will, best of luck to Coach Dutiel and the Jeeps the rest of the year.

I agree with this but I think this year the administration should be shopping for a new coach maybe someone already on the staff or someone of that nature.

Mrs Johnson had an incredible talent pool for many years. I’m sure she’d have won a ton of games with the claxons and Zimmerman but it had to end sooner or later. Even the boys ran out of horses for a few years (08-10)
