i dont see why who BH has played this season matters, none of those teams are SW...

I was giving some information on some of the teams that they had played. I wish the Jeeps well in the tournament and I will be rooting for them. However,if and when they might lose, will you please say something positive about the other teams.

The winner of this game will be a huge favorite in the next one----Great District Final between two top-notch programs and definitely the two best teams left in this area in division 3. Should go down to the wire.

I believe the Jeeps played their best game of the season last year in Philo vs Hiland. The Hawks have 10 seniors and will not go down easily. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best!

I remember this game last year, it was very cold and windy!

BH seemed to be frustrated most of the game last season as Webster won. But I believe it was a 1-0 game for much of the second half before Webster put a couple more in the net.

Should be a great game to watch. Both teams have many returners and will be hungry for a district title.

glad I don't have to make the long drive for this game. Jackson has a nice facility.

I predict 3-2 Webster.

Swanker- While you're technically right, as none of those teams are SW...they should have gotten Hiland fully prepared for a team like Webster. CVCA is ridiculous, as is Western Reserve and STA. This will be the biggest test for SW all season, should be a great game.

Hiland and Webster should be the two District champs.
Neither Burg nor Peebles, in my opinion, could handle either Webster or Hiland
Taht said, it's about time the Beast from teh East goes down. Webster's my sentimental favorite on this one. And I expect an entertaining close match. It's also a shame it is at the same time as Marietta v Chilli. I'd like to see both matches.

I agree with you xb1srw2ob1knob! As a Jeep Fan, I am trying to look at it this way: We would have to play them this game or next game........... might as well get it over with! If we can't beat them tomorrow in Jackson then I doubt we would have beaten them in Philo in the Regional Semis!

And now---if we can beat them hopefully we won't have to go to Philo for the Regional Semis---perhaps they would move the game closer to home............ have to wait and see on that one. They put the Regional game up there because they fully expect Berlin Hiland to advance that far.

Footnote: The last two years a Southeast District team has taken out Berlin Hiland in the Regional Semis-----Minford 2 years ago and South Webster last year.

My bad on missing the last two years.
I am so used to getting my butt handed to me by Hiland in the Districts (when I was coaching), that I don't keep close enough tabs after I lose out.
I have alwasy been bitter that Hiland gets to District Finals in 2 games where all the rest of the SE goes through at least 3. I know it is a numbers game, but I wish there was a little more equitable ditribution in the case ot the East joining the South East brackets.

It is understandable that you missed the last few years---and remember those wins by Minford and South Webster were at the Regional Semi level. Berlin Hiland has made the Regionals in each of the last 5 years losing to Worthington Christian the first 3 times. In fact the only two times I could find in recent memory that they didn't make the regional level is 2002 when they were upset by West Muskingum in the very first game and in 2004 when Unioto beat them on their way to the Final Four.

So, if South Webster knocks Berlin Hiland out tomorrow at the District Final level it will only be the 3rd time in the last 10 years that Berlin Hiland has fallen before the Regionals! Pretty impressive run.

The East District actually had 8 teams in it this year---so Berlin Hiland had to play 3 games to get out. The first 2 were mismatches but the Sectional Final (District Semi) was a great game with West Muskingum. South Webster actually only had to play 2 this year!

Tomorrow should be a great game between two senior-laden teams! I cannot wait!

Swanker must live in Oak Hill and be a Jeep fan. It takes me a good 45 mins to get to Jackson I wouldn't call it a home game for the Jeeps. I think the Jeeps win this one 3 1.

Doesn't matter, but actually 4-3-3... a_c_m got the New Phila result wrong which was a 3-1 Hiland victory not a loss. Coshocton already won D2 district. CVCA and St Thomas play each other in district final tomorrow in D3. Mansfield Chr plays in D3 district final tomorrow and St V in D2 final tomorrow.

South Webster played 4 teams with winning records (5 if you count Minford twice)... Waverly, Minford, Wburg and Zane Trace. What will all of this mean tomorrow, nothing. It should be a good game. As a Hiland person it has been fun to read the comments. I think both teams have mutual respect for each other. Hope both teams play hard and avoid injuries.

45 minutes sounds great to Jackson. Hiland will have 3.5 hours. I know Philo is a long haul for SE teams but when Hiland has played SE teams there in the past everyone thinks it's a huge advantage for Hiland. The reality is Philo is 1.5 hours for Hiland too, so still a haul. The East district doesn't let the higher seed host tourney games instead using a central site so Hiland already has traveled 1.25 hours three times to play the sectional in Cambridge. We are used to the bus.

You are correct in that all of the stats, bus rides, etc. mean nothing.
I expect to see two well coached, experienced teams give their all and put on a great game tomorrow.
It is a shame that Webster and Hiland have to play each other in the district round. It would be great to see them play in the regional round again but that's how the cookie crumbled this year.

Some of the comments have been laughable.
The Webster fans that know Hiland soccer have great respect for your program and understand that tomorrow's game won't be "easy" or a blowout. There are a few kids that like to stir the pot though...

No, I wasn't freezing at last years game since I was sitting in my apartment in Houston, TX with 70 temperatures surrounding me.

6-1 Hiland over South Webster was your prediction all the while knowing that South Webster returns their entire team that beat Hiland last year 3-0.

Care to explain that logic? Maybe a 2-1 or 3-2 Hiland win I can understand. But a blowout prediction while showing no respect at all for the Jeeps accomplishments this season and what they did last year indicates to me you are letting your disdain for South Webster control your judgement.

And Tripleplay predicts a 3-2 Webster win. Yet you agree with him/her? Your posts are contradicting themselves. Care to elaborate?

Your post may have been completely benign, but I am getting tired of the South Webster "can't-stand-a-chance-against-the-teams-up-North" BS that consistently emanates from the posts on SEOPS and the "other" site. I heard it in 2006 when the boys won the basketball title as well.
I happen to think the teams in Southern Ohio play a very good brand of Basketball, Soccer, baseball et-al. And can compete with anyone.
