Marietta defeated Chillicothe 2-0 Saturday to advance. Watterson defeated Hilliard Bradley 3-0 Saturday to advance.

Match is Tuesday at 7 pm, location still not announced by OHSAA. I would guess it's Logan or Zanesville

Chillicothe had a home-and-home with Watterson over the last two years. They tied 2-2 in Columbus in 2008 and Chillicothe won 4-2 last year. This is a very winnable game. Marietta can play with these guys and advance. They just need to believe it! Play with confidence and take the game to them.

Good luck to Marietta from Athens. I'm sure they'll represent the Southeast well. It won't be an easy game or any sort of guaranteed win. However, they have a decent chance to advance to the Regional Finals. It would be nice to see a Southeast team in the elite 8 and break the usual situation of the DII Southeast team losing valiantly (but still losing) to a team favored to win the state title. Tough loss for Marietta. Great season though, made a good tournament run, played competitive soccer all the way through to the very end. Played much closer game in this round than usual and they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
