No contoversy..... each side had their chances. Could have gone either way. Officiating was consistent and fair.

Waverly has always had trouble with Chillicothe. Every team has one other team they struggle with..... Prior to Saturday's 2-2 tie Chillicothe was 7-0 against Waverly since 2002 scoring 34 goals and giving up just 6. (and that's withsome very solid Waverly teams) The series has been very one sided.

This years Waverly squad is very good again, and Chillicothe is in a rare down year. Chillicothe just seems to have their number.

SJ 10
Elliott Co, KY 0

Weird game. Must be a mercy rule in KY because the game was called in the 2nd half with lots of time left to play after SJ went up 10-0. Also, SJ was told by officials not to celebrate their goals after their first score when several players high fived and congratulated each other.

Unioto at Warren tonight has been postponed until Monday, 10/10, due to poor field conditions.

Clay 7
West 0

Clay piled on 4 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game. Completely uncalled for. Horrible sportsmanship. West had a ton of shots but couldn't get any of them to drop, so they weren't helping themselves. They moved the ball around very well though.

I forgot to mention that all 4 of those goals were against West's JV. They started coming in around 30 minutes into the second half, and Clay started playing harder. I don't understand it at all. I guess they were trying to make themselves look better or something.

A game that is only 3-0 with ten minutes to go is not over.
West should have kept the varsity in. I watched a game that was 5 - 2 with two minutes to go and it ended up tied.

Clay had to leave their starters in because they only have two or three subs and they were playing.

I agree that West should have kept the varsity in, but when Clay sees that nearly every player on the field is a freshman or first year, you think that they would back off a little. You don't need to boost your stats. A win is a win.
