Waverly 3
Wheelersburg 2
Burg led 1-0
Tigers tied 1-1
Burg scored 2-1
Waverly scored 2-2
Waverly gets goal and wins 3-2.
The Tigers were caught multiple times with too many men on the field. Great effort by the Pirates!

In a hard fought game, Minford fell at home to the undeafeated Unioto Sherman Tanks 2-1.
Hats off to my Falcons. Unioto has the best team I have seen in quite sometime and I can see them winning state this season in D2.

How about that top notch officiating!!!!!! WOW, I felt sory for both teams. No good answer with so few officials to go around but that was the worst i have seen.

2-1 result. Impressive for the Falcons. Only comment made thus far was about poor officiating (understandable). Anyone have the box score to see how close the game really was?
Re: 2012 Boy's Scores
The Chillicothe Gazette had the shot total at 26-5 but nonetheless a very impressive result for Minford. Unioto doesn't have many weaknesses. As for being a top team in the state...that's another story. Unfortunatly there are too many great catholic schools that they would have to meet before reaching state, including St Francis Desales.

Don't forget about Revere, Dayton Carroll, and CVCA. These teams face a lot D1 schools in regular season.socman wrote:The Chillicothe Gazette had the shot total at 26-5 but nonetheless a very impressive result for Minford. The Wheelerburg JV team played at West tonight and came away with an excellent team win 4-0. Great job young men! Record is now 5-0-2.

Peebles over Piketon tonight. 14-0-1 with Georgeton on Friday as the last regular season game. BTW - I have a friend at Dayton Carroll, It is hard to compete/compare to private school programs.

Re: 2012 Boy's Scores
That is what the Chillicothe Gazette reported it to be. If true that is the second most goals ever scored in a game for a team in the southeast. The first was a 28-0 beating given by Wheelersburg to West Union in 1999(still a state record). Why did Piketon only bring 9 players? Injuries?Jolly P(irate) wrote:please tell me 19-0 is a joke.

Re: 2012 Boy's Scores
From what I was told, some had signed up for Drivers Ed. Awful time to take it. I think they only have 13-14 players total. Not 100%.
Re: 2012 Boy's Scores
It was 19 -0. Peebles played 11 the first half and 9 the second. 20 in peebles pulled the front guys. His two best strikers only had 2 goals each, maybe 3. 11 different guys scored. Georgetown should be a good game on Friday!

Re: 2012 Boy's Scores
Thats pathetic. I guess Peebles needs to "Act like you've been there before". 19 goals. Really? Really??? Pretty sad. Coaches should know better. No need to pad stats like that.newschool wrote:It was 19 -0. Peebles played 11 the first half and 9 the second. 20 in peebles pulled the front guys.
