YES! Hopefully this works out easily and every other tournament will switch to this smarter way to do seeding.90buckeye wrote:Southeast District Boys and Girls Soccer Coaches,

Dani I agree - now if they would only find a way to make coaches enter their results in the OSSCA system we would be golden...
Re: Online Seeding/Voting - Southeast District
That would be great if it ever happens. Being able to describe your season and plead your case for a good seed is important, but being able to see the complete results would make the seeding process more accurate.Mark_Williamson wrote:Dani I agree - now if they would only find a way to make coaches enter their results in the OSSCA system we would be golden...

I've been in a lot of rooms where coaches don't even describe their season at all. I think if coaches did it more, then this could make a big change. Seeing results is really the best way for coaches to get a gauge on the other teams.4th n Goal wrote:That would be great if it ever happens. I think where this would benefit the most would be if they eliminated the meeting in Jackson (unless you are placing yourself according to your seed, then the meeting is a must). The meeting in Jackson is kind of ridiculous for coaches from Marietta and/or Lynchburg. The ones who have to go over an hour for an hour meeting definitely have a gripe, unless they stop by LaRosa's on the way home.
I believe that this is something that needed done, especially since the rest of the state has been like this for quite a while and from what I've seen, schools like Chillicothe have liked this way better when they have had to deal with the Central district.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out and if this process is adopted for basketball and other sports.

Wkkj in Chillicothe has the seedings listed.
St Joe boys play Clay 10/13 with the winner meeting Wheelersburg on 10/15.
St Joe girls play West Union on 10/14 with the winner meeting either Alexander or Wheelersburg 10/18.

Why is Greenfield a #14 seed at 9-1-1? Ridiculously easy schedule?

Did they vote? That could be why if they didn't. I know in the past that they have placed teams that didn't have a representative show up as the last seed, but those teams were usually 0fer, so that is strange.Ironman92 wrote:Why is Greenfield a #14 seed at 9-1-1? Ridiculously easy schedule?
But, if this is referring to the Girls' side, they are definitely not 9-1-1. Their OSSCA schedule has them at 0-5.
Re: Online Seeding/Voting - Southeast District
We were told in our XC meeting that soccer and volleyball had 100% of coaches vote
Re: Online Seeding/Voting - Southeast District
West and New Boston play on 10/13. Winner plays South Webster or Chesapeake.

Greenville is in the Dayton Area. I wonder if it should be Greenfield?
Re: Online Seeding/Voting - Southeast District
I think there are some typos. The WKKJ website has Minford girls playing "Ports. Wrst"....
I really thought the brackets would be up on the SEODAB website before now

Re: Online Seeding/Voting - Southeast District
Jackson defeated Greenfield 15-2
Guess that answers my question

Re: Online Seeding/Voting - Southeast District
Was told by a Jackson parent that they said their record was reversed and Greenfield was 1-9-1
