Yes the Minford vs. Burg is a big SOC II game and it is at Burg.

I saw the last matchup and I think this one will be a lot closer. Last game the momentum changed with a handball pK for wheelersburg.

I wasn't surprised by this result. Athens is somewhere around 12-0 and plays a pretty good D2 schedule. They have been getting votes in the poll each week and are just outside the top 10.

Heard SW had their chances early but couldn't finish. Then with Athens being a very good team they finished their chances.

While the loss obviously is not good for Webster's seeding, playing a team like Athens can only help them come tourney time should they advance far enough to play an East or Central District team at Districts/Regionals.*

The first sixteen games are nice to win but if you play a tough season schedule but are always improving then your getting prepared for big games. Nice to have a good seed but during the tournament it's only about that game that day.

I don't think South Webster's loss to Athens will affect the seeding. Wheelersburg doesn't play Athens so there is not a good way to compare the two teams by that game.

I think most coaches look at more than the overall record when seeding teams.

It was a pretty good match up and South Webster played with Athens fairly well, but Athens is great team and they have the type of strong players that know how to score & win.
