Interesting considering Piketon’s field is very small compared to other fields that have hosted finals but maybe the other schools couldn’t host due to administrative decisions

I think Piketon May play their games in the new football stadium with turf. It has soccer lines on it and seating capacity is 1600.

They do, it’s just very small compared to other turf fields. The actual playing field, not the bleachers. I think it’s 100yds long rather than 120 on other turf fields.

Maybe it seems smaller due to not as many bleachers as opposed to a Waverly or a Wheelersburg type stadium. Piketon’s field is 100yds long with 10yd end zones on each end.

Yes, I’m aware. I’m saying the soccer lines only allow it to be 100yds rather than 120 like at Waverly, Jackson & Logan. It’s also not as wide as those other fields.

You should listen to this man. His method allows him to be all knowing, despite never being able to win against fellow D1s. No cross, no cross!!

😂😂 true. Haven’t won yet.

But I was just commenting that it’s a strange site but like I said before, Covid could have had a impact on who was willing to host.

Definitely a strange site, especially if a variety of results happen

I didn’t pay attention to the lines for soccer last time I was at the facility, but crazy that they wouldn’t have made it longer

The District Final will be 10/31 at Piketon with the starting time to be announced.

#4 seed Warren vs #2 seed Unioto

Good Luck to both!

Major tip of the cap to Warren's goalie. This game felt like fu was winning 6-0 in the first half and it was 0'0. 2nd half Warren scored and fu answered right back. Then again FU dominated and put shots on goal and off the posts but just could not find the back of the net.

A very very strange game that the longer it went, the more you had that feeling that Warren would start to believe. PKs is the worst way to win or lose.. brutal to lose that way though.

Congrats to Warren.

It will be, but SOSA’s will have commentary and a live scoreboard if all goes well

Shout to Free. A great player, who every team will be happy to see graduate, and kept the game last night to a respectable score. I thought it'd be 8+-0. Granville is no joke.

Unfortunately now we wait until summer. Ughhh.

Also, this east getting to play east every year is a joke. Granville will win Saturday by 10. Why the east continues to just get to play each other in a regional semi every year is beyond me. I don't care about the travel. Guarantee you unioto, fu, Warren, chilli (i know, not d2 this year) any team from SE would travel 100 miles to play an east team vs having to play Granville or the #1 from the central every year.

To quote the great Ric Flair,

"To be the man, you gotta BEAT the man."

Travel or not all roads lead to the same place in the tournament.

Cool, but the goal for the tournament is to have the best matchups throughout and not reward average teams strictly due to their geographical location.
