The question was brought up if a Coach as ever one the SOC Coach of the year without his team winning SOC Championship . It has happen once that I know of I believe back in 2004 or 2005 Jason Risner won SOC Coach of the Year at West. His squad had one of the best season in school history I believe West Finished second behind Wheelersbrug . I also believe West lost to Eastern Brown in the Sectional Championship or District Semi-Final but I'm not sure on that.

It has happened multiple times. Prior to about 1993 or 95 the two automatically went together. Greg Romanello was the first one to win it without winning a championship.

In the Central District:

#23 Logan will host #28 Groveport Madison on Saturday in the sectional final.

This will give Logan the chance to win their first ever sectional title on their home field.

This is a rematch between the two teams from earlier in the season. That game was played at Groveport Madison in which Logan won 2-1.
