Marietta tied Jackson 2-2 Marietta is 3-0-3 and 3-0-1 in the league.

In the last few minutes Marietta should have had a couple of penalty kicks. The ref was overheard saying that he wasn't going to give any cheap PK's.

Marietta also out shot them by a lot and had several off the post. They controlled the game about 70% of the time and should have won easily.

Marietta plays Parkersburg South on Monday.

Not real sure I would say Marietta totally outplayed Jackson. They did have more of the ball in the first half but the second was fairly even. And as far as the should have been PK's they would have been crap calls.

Yes other teams play T-Th-Sat and practice on M-W-F but they practice earlier on Friday--usually within an hour after school is out like 3-5. But then those teams usually have a teacher as a coach and not someone who has to work until 5 or 5:30.

I was at this one. Athens was pure and simple the better team. more hustle, more touch, more speed, more physical. Deserved the W.
