I assume since 5-0, it wasn't 50/50 with starters in, maybe afterwardsMr.Smith wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:01 am
Is Waverly Boys really that bad? Didn't Waverly score in the first 40 seconds of the game. Also didn't the Waverly coach pull majority of his starters after 30 minutes. In the second half their starters only played 10-15 minutes. But I guess a 5-0 game is splitting 50-50 possession

I'm not sure why you took offense to that. West's starters actually had more possession than Waverly's starters in the first half. That's just what happened. A 5-0 game doesn't mean that possession can't be split, so I'm really not sure where you were going with this.Mr.Smith wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:01 am

Possession doesn't equal goals. I've seen teams who excel at counterattacking and rarely get over 40% of the possession.

You're right. My statement was meant to highlight West's ability to possess the ball and inability to score, along with Waverly's excellent attack. I'm not really sure why my comment was so offensive.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:07 pm Possession doesn't equal goals. It wasn't at all, just some people take offense to anything that isn't overwhelmingly positive towards their team/school. I wish it was just on here, but it's pretty much everywhere.Hylander wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:35 pmYou're right. I wasn't there, but heard West defender grabbed a new Boston forward from behind on a break away. If that's true, I'm giving straight Red card!

Yeah, the game got a little out of hand on both ends. That play in specific though probably wasn't enough to warrant a red since there was another defender in the area and there wasn't a clear scoring opportunity.

Good win by Rock Hill over Ashland. Ashland an experienced program.
