South Point has 196 boys in grades 9-11 according to the OHSAA website. This puts them with at least 250 boys in the high school. They have enough to field a football team and a soccer team!

West scored in the first minute of the game and led 2-1 early. They controlled a good portion of the first half, but completely fell apart later.

NORTHWEST 4
Northwest had a 2 - 0 halftime lead and lead 3 -1 about midway second half. Clay held a 4 - 3 lead for about 2 mintues. Clay scored the go ahead goal with about 2 minutes left. Great effort by both teams, fun game to watch. Jon Valentine and Eli Kelly each had 2 goals, Chase Hiles had the other. Clay got two goals on throw ins by Alex Jordan past the defense and breakaways to the goalie.
I couldn't read the numbers or names on the back of NW jerseys. The printing was too light colored.

Great job by the Panthers in beating a much bigger school in the Mohawks. Good to hear Jon Valentine got a couple more goals as well. Great job nephew!!! Great job Panthers!!!

School size doesn't really come into play in soccer since most of the larger schools loose most of the athletes to football. It evens the larger schools out against the smaller schools that don't have football, but don't have many boys.
