Any good prospects that Shawnee have a good chance of landing for the upcoming season?

Yes, we do. As soon as they sign the letter of intent, I will post them. We have received verbals from some already.
We have been able to sign good players during the fall tryouts thru the years, but it seems like we have been very extremely lucky at the winter tryouts the past couple of years.

Is Luke Purpero? going to play for Shawnee this fall??I've heard some talk that he was but wasn't sure.

Yes! Word is that Luke will be playing for the Bears this Fall...

SSU alumni game is tomorrow at 1:00 at Shawnee. We will have two intra-squad matches with the returners and new players before and after the alumni game.
Should be a good day for soccer less than 50% chance of rain!

He could very well do that. I know last year I graduated with a gentlemen named Jon Venters that was the starting keeper for them during soccer season and in the pitching rotation for the baseball team.

I know some of the international students have tried out for the team over the off-season, just wondering if any of those are expected to contribute?

Shawnee set school records in shutouts for a season (7), and GA/game (1.91) in 2007.
Shawnee graduated Graham Purdy, Kurt Rininger, Blake Shelton,all starters on defense last year and Keeper Jon Venters.
Returning is team captain Jordan Buck,Kazz Hall,Ross Frantz, Danny Frantz, Rusty Ortman and Chris George.
Incoming is Jr. College transfer Wayne Daugherty. Freshman Tim Cook, Tyler Hutton, Josh Hartman, Dow Reichley, Lenier Crawford, Cody Bond,Dale Vinson.
Big Rocky Dunkin will take over at the keeper position.
