In the SOC 1 Webster will win it easily assuming most of thier tallent stays put.

In the SOC 2 It will come down to Burg or Waverly. I would give the edge to Waverly based on having a strong JV this year to fill the graduating seniors spots. However, Burg will remain strong offensively with Brooks and Lewis both returning on the front line. The main problem for them is loosing White in the midfield. Minford is not likely to pose a threat to either of these teams, loosing 13 seniors is going to be devistating. They will only have 4 of thier starters left consisting ( 1 fresh 3 juniors ) and thier Jv was good but not good enough too fill that many spots with quality players.

predictions are interesting. next year is next year. minford will struggle with loss of so many starters. waverly returns many good players and their jv team looked good. however, coaching chage? big burg losses are at the defense. burg usually builds from the back forward.

look forward to next year.

Will Eastern-Pike compete in the SOC next season? If so, which division?
I assume it would be SOC I since Waverly is scheduled to play them once...

I believe that South Webster might be the team to beat in both leagues. The junior class is loaded with talent and most have played varsity since day one of high school. Although Waverly lost seven seniors they have a lot of young talent that are ready to step up from their undefeated reserve team. Wheelersburg's reserves teams are never full of talent but somehow Coach Boll finds someway to fill the holes.

I Pick Waverly High School Soccer Team for 2009 SOC Champs.

Wouldn't that depend on the new Coach and how well he gets his system going? Plus how many seniors did you lose?

Soccernut I hope that Waverly's new coach can get them over the hump so that Marietta has to come to Pike County to play a sectional game.

Probably not next year. We are only lost two starting seniors. All our defense and both strikers are coming back. This year we only lost a couple games by more then one goal, so we should have a strong season next year.
