The New Boston Tigers went to the Regional
Championships in 1988 They were beat by Zanesvile Rosecrane 3-2 I think . Many folks said that was your State title game . Because Rosecrane went on to win the State that year. in blow out wins I think. And if i heard right the Rosecrane program no longer exsit.

Minford won districts in both 84, and 85 lost in regionals to Cincinatti McNicholas in 84 and they went on and won state, and in 85 lost to Col. DeSales and they went on to win state, in 85 Minford won the first SOC crown given for soccer, and won sectional in 1986 but lost district finals 5-4 to Zaneville West Muskingum. Also won a sectional tournament in 83 the first year the school had a soccer program.

Coach- Rosecrans is back, as of this year, but from 2004-2007 they were inactive.

thanks for the update dani glad to see them back . I was in 8th grade when the Tiger's and the Bishops played. it was good game and Rosecrans had agood program then . Glad they are back!!!!!!!!

No problem. Glad they are back as well.

I had my worst ever soccer moment against them when I was a sophomore in the Districts, then we beat them for our 1st District title when I was a senior. I was shocked when they dropped the soccer program, as it had been very successful.

St. Charles won the D2 State Championship in 85, they beat Springfield (actually in Enon, Ohio) Greenon 3-1.

DeSales won it in 1986 over Cincinnati Indian Hill.

fall of 1983 was first year for Minford to have soccer they won a district championship lost to Madiera, in 84 they won district and lost to McNicholas who won state I was at the state final, following year 1985 won district lost to DeSales they did not win the state as I previously stated (game was played in the snow)
