This game will be a tough one for the Pirates, but if they play team soccer, they could pull the upset. Hiland always plays a tough schedule and has a great team.

hiland is the goliath from the southeast district. they are regular visitors to the districts. great program. best of luck to the pirates and congratulations on moving forward.

The SE District is 3-14 in tournament play against Hiland since 2001. Minford, South Webster, and Unioto have beaten them(ironically, all of those games have been lopsided)

Hiland has been to the regionals every year since 2005, but also may have the record for most trips to the regionals without a trip to the final four. Hopefully, Burg will break the regional streak on Saturday. Hiland is always a team that has limited mistakes, but they are usually very beatable. Good luck to the Pirates!

Congratulations to Braxton Jarvis for your accomplishments to date. An excellent soccer player and a fine young man! Good Luck to the Wheelersburg Pirates on Saturday! Work hard, leave it on the field and be proud win or lose as this team has come so far since the first game of the year.

The Pirates can definately play with Hiland....if they hold it together and play team ball. I was at the game agaist Alexander, when Jarvis, Thurmer, and Jordan move the ball quick with the give and go...it was very hard to defend.

If Killingsworth and Crowder control the midfield like they are capable of, Hiland will have a tough time. Burg has a good defense that always come to play and look ready for the challenge. The Hiles boys are good at winning the ball and the fullbacks always hold their own. Jackson Staduim will be a great venue to showcase these two teams.

Nice job Jarvis.

If Hiland possesses the ball like they have in the past, Jarvis and the other Burg skill players up front will have very few touches. Like he has all season, I can see Jarvis having to pull back and support the defensive third. That suits him better anyway... his field awareness, skill set, and work ethic are more suited for a center mid, IMO.

Burg moves on... Berlin Hiland is not the same team that beat a good webster team last year, it will be tough no doubt but they are very beatable.

hiland played such a nice game of soccer. good players and good coaching makes for a good team. the stones thrown by pirates were no threat to the goliath from the east. good season good run. thanks to the seniors and best of luck to the under classmen and women. heres to 2012. how many more days till Ohio Cup?
