who are the the main players on this team???!

I thought the Piketon Soccer program had just about fizzled out?

not yet.
the players still work hard and try to get better
but they just cant work together or anything mainly just fighting
but they will get it together sooner or later.

Piketon has had a rough couple of years. I lay a lot of blame at the feet of the previous head coach and AD for not taking care of business and attitudes when they were there.
The infighting were teh last artifacts of the two mentioned above, I would expect you saw the last of it last year.
However, I have nothing but respect for their current coach and AD.
I expect to see them turn it around in a couple years and be more competetive each year.
They may take lumps this year, but I guarantee they are better than last.

piketon will not have a soccer team this year. Seems like all there players went to cross county!

i hate to see any program lost. it is so hard to recover the program when losing a year. does piketon have a good youth program? these type of programs are the cornerstone to a high school team. also, these schools need to develop a jr high program. schools loose so many kids to football/volleyball in the jr high years.

Can anyone confirm there will be no team this year.
We have them on the schedule, and we'll need to start looking for a replacement game.

Piketon backed out of their scrimmage today at Waverly.

When you say backed out, did they just not want to play today or they do not have a team?

The word at the New Boston Super Scrimmage today was that Lucasville Valley will be replacing them in the Southern Ohio Previews next Friday.

Piketon does not have a team this year. Hopefully they can get through this and put a team together next season. They have some great young players who will be coming up!

How ironic is it that the only school around with an actual soccer stadium doesn't have a team.

Waverly should work out a deal to play their home games there.

Coach Martin has put a lot of time and effort into building Piketon soccer. He had over 13 kids showing up for varsity workouts during the summer. However, last week when practice officially started, only a handful showed up. As of now, Piketon is backing out of contests up to 9/7 and those schools have been contacted. Coach Martin is hoping that after school has started he will gain some players. Piketon is having a jr high team with around 18 players.

That is great news about the Jr. High team!! Will they be sanctioned through the school or a club team?
