Victor Davis off to Leeds, England

Victor Davis, who played for the Athens Bulldogs last fall, starts his 10 month training next week at the Richmond International Academic and Soccer Academy in Leeds, England. He's really excited and anxious as well since all his friends have already left for school and many of them have been texting and snap chatting about their college preseason camps.

Victor had a great spring season with his club team Ohio Galaxies 97 elite. They won the Ohio South State Cup this year in the u-18 bracket after having been finalists or semi-finalists the last two years. In the final against Cincinnati United Premiere (CUP), Victor had the assist on the equalizer and then the winning goal. Then in June his team made it all the way to the final in the Region 2 tournament in Indianapolis and he notched up a goal and 3 assists.

Finally I just wanted to say a personal thanks to all the local high school coaches who said such nice things and sent words of encouragement to him when he broke his ankle at the very start of his junior year. Playing high school soccer was always about playing with his school friends and he would certainly do it again even knowing all the many ups and downs that would go along with it.
