Wheelersburg at Waverly Thursday 17th

Post by soccerfix »

This game could be Waverly's superbowl. After the 0-3 start thanks to the forfeits, Waverly needs to win this game to restore some swagger. They played unselfishly last night and they will have to continue the team ball for the rest of the season.

"could be waverlys superbowl". thats a great deal of pressure for regular season game. if this is the superbowl what's the first round of the tourney? world cup? hopfully it will be another hard fought soc match.

I'm not quite sure that I would consider it their super bowl. They have many tough matches still to play. However this could very well be a turning point in their season if they play up to their potential against a quality opponent.

I heard Waverly is playing a senior goalie on JV (the coaches son). Is this true?? That sure doesn't build a program....

Rheadon Remy scores two goals, the last one on a corner kick with approximately two minutes to go. Wheelersburg's goal came on a corner that Lewis bicycle kicked to tie 1-1.

not much offense from pirates. it took the goal of a life time to tie it up. ended up losing 2-1. hard to string together "goals of a lifetime" to win games.
