Re: South Webster Soccer
I agree that the state rankings mean very little.
However, I have been impressed w/ the Jeeps during the games that I've seen.
They're handling the competition that they've seen so far (including the schools in SOCII).
Their defense seems to be pretty stingy.
I was told there are only 2 seniors that start. The future looks bright for the Jeeps.

Agreed about the rankings meaning nothing but to be this far into the season and only allowing one goal total is amazing. Looking at the rest of the conference schedule, probably only Burg is capable of scoring on them (and that's not a given considering Webster's already shutout two better teams in Minford and Waverly).
My concern is how will the Jeeps handle a hard-fought 80 minute game come tourney time when most of their games are decided in the first 20 minutes? They've shown they can beat solid teams like Minford and Waverly, but the weak teams they're feasting on in SOC I won't help them a bit if/when they get deep in the tournament against real competition. But you can only play the games that's on your schedule and they're doing what they should be doing to those teams. Good luck to Coach Claxon and the Jeeps the rest of the way.*

The schedule is what it is: however, 3 of the last 4 games leading into tournament play are against Wheelersburg, Zane Trace and Alexander. Those 3 games will definitely have them ready for a tournament run.
The goal that Webster gave up came in the last 5 minutes against Jackson in a 5-1 win. (5-0 at half) Probably, a good thing---since the team doesn't have to deal with the pressure of staying unscored upon.

So he scores on Webster, no big deal as long as Webster scores one more goal. The payoff in not in who scores but the final score!!!!
Go JEEPS

Is that One goal including scrimmages and previews or just the regular season?

Re: South Webster Soccer
giving up one goal this season is great stat. good defense helps to win games, but you need to score more than the other team. webster brings good balance between the two. continued good luck.
