minford v. waverly 10-6-09

Any thoughts on the minford v. waverly game on 10-6-09 and the ending to it?

The ending was appropriate the team with the most goals won lol!! I assume you are interested in peoples take on the last goal with 16 seconds left in the game. I had a pretty good spot to see that one ( far side of the concession stand) Henry Allen took a shot from near the 18 it was blocked by a waverly defender but the ball remained inside the box. This naturaly caused some confusion and panic with everyone scrambling to get a foot on the ball. Jake Hackworth got a toe on it causing a slow roller towards the net. The ball looked stoppable and may or may not have been slightly deflected by a defender ( at that point it was difficult to see) the goalie appeared to be a little off balanced and could only watch it roll to the back of the net. The final 16 seconds ended with minford clearing the ball out of bounds twice with no further shots taken. Great game for the fans to watch!!!!
