SP and Ironton St. Joe face each other on Monday at SP in the sectional semi's.
Their previous games have been close (1-1 and 1-0 SP).
I look for another close game here. Perhaps a slight edge to the Flyers.
Thoughts?

Big advantage to the Flyers, the Pointers will be with out starter Matt Button (who is out for the rest of the season) and all the girls on the team who will be playing in Sardinia in their sectional. That will mean they will be without 5 or 6 starters. I don't think the Pointers have enough depth to pull it off. Good Luck to both teams and at least it won't be played in the mud!

IMO, the young lady who plays C-mid for St Joe's is their best technical player withthe best vision. With her playing in the girls' bracket, that will be hard to overcome.
I would give advantage St Joes before, but now is likely a toss up.

Why would she be playing in the girl's bracket? The last time the two met at SP, I thought SJ was better. Under the circumstances if SJ comes to play they should win but if they are looking ahead watch out. With that said I will go St. Joe 3
South Point 1

South Point will not have any girls playing because they have chosen to enter a girls team in the girls bracket. St. Joe doesn't have a girls team so they will still have all their players.

Without the girls on the South Point team, I would expect St. Joseph to win but that is why they play the game.

I saw a games where Lien, Fletcher, Dillow, Gore and Button started so yeah maybe not every game but i did see them start and if they didnt start then they played the majority of the games i saw. So missing that many starters will hurt the boys team. Good Luck tonight though!

My bad, had it backwards. At least I had teh right team for the young lady playing C-mid though.
Do I get partial credit?

I look for St. Joe to win in this one. Also, I can assure that Joe Unger will come out strong as the keeper for the Flyers. A key to victory for the Flyers tonight is patience and possession.

Good game by St. Joe's.
They controlled the game.
1-0 lead at half. St. Joe scored 3 goals in about the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Unger made some good saves. He wasn't challenged too much, though.

Unger had 3 saves tonight. However South Point only had 3 shots on goal. Unger does an excellent job!

Congrats to the South Point boys in playing a really good game even in defeat it was tough I am sure to play without so many starters.Matt and the girls surely were missed. But maybe this will get more boys out next year.
