Just a warning to Waverly fans, if you root against Athens their parents will try to fight you. Have school spirit at your own risk. And don't yell at the ref, their AD will threaten to have you arrested for it.

Having watched both games against us this year...Athens is a much improved team. I don't know Waverly but according to their record...looks like they did well. Though I can't call a winner...I will call a 1-0 score.

I look for this to be a good game.
I've had the opportunity to watch both squads this year.
Should be a close game.

Having researched both squads it seems like Athens doesn't score many goals but also doesn't allow many either. Waverly which is very quick especially on turf can score points and their D doesn't give many opportunities. To answer if Martin is playing that's a no. He is moving better but still not up to playing yet.

On a more serious not than my last post (not that I wasn't being serious) from what I have seen in the few games I have seen Athens play they are pretty good with the counter attack especially with their speed from #7 I believe. Seem to score higher if their opponents score higher. But haven't seen Waverly at all this year but if its anything like the games I have seen Athens play it will be a close game. One thing I noticed and I could be wrong, once Athens gets a good lead their keeper seemed to look more comfortable in the goal, letting balls bounce to him that he probably shouldn't and things of that such, could make it easier to score an equalizer if Athens does get an early lead. Kinda hoping for an Athens win though so I can see another Athens Marietta rematch. the first two were good games wouldn't expect anything less out of a third.
