Anyone hear of any coaching changes for 2011? I have heard rumors of 3, but I would like to hear what others have to say.

I'm surprised someone hasn't posted this one yet... long-time Alexander Spartan coach Tom Fauber stepped down as the boys' coach to spend more time with his family. He had held the job since 1996 after replacing long-time coach Jerry Royce. This wasn't an easy task for him to start off after the local coaching legend, but Tom established himself as a talented coach as well and ended up (correct me if I'm wrong Alexander folks) being both the longest serving soccer coach and having the most wins in Spartan soccer history.

Good luck to Tom in his future endeavors. I'm sure it was a tough decision to make.

So, xb1srw2... who's going to be the replacement? I'm assuming Kirk is putting his name in. Other contenders?

Best of luck to Tom. He was a great coach and ambassador of the game.

Wow, shocks me about Coach Fauber.

As a player, he was one of my favorite coaches to play against. Those kids are always played hard and above their skill levels...as a coach, he was the same way. Loved the game and got the most out of his teams.

If it ends up being Kirk Crowe, he will definitely be a disaplinarian who will push his teams to get the same effort and will do a great job as well.

I heard that Munion is trying to get take over the Boy's program also. I think it's a mistake for him to try and coach the Boys and Girls teams.
