Conditions should not matter in this game...I would agree Waverly has the upper hand but believe SW will try and be physical and get there fwds off their lines.

South Webster will try to intimidate by being extremely physical, but Waverly will play with more skill. Waverly 3-1. It will be a tough match.
Re: South Webster hosts Waverly 9-1-11
Waverly has to be the favored team in this one.
If South Webster can play some solid defense they may make it a good game. The question is can SW get enough offense going to put a couple goals in?

Either SW has a strong defense or a strong offense, but they don't have enough players to have both at the same time. Waverly 6 - SW 1

Looks like South Webster is competing well this year with the bigger schools, even though it's clearly a reloading year for them. I heard the final Waverly goal came with just a couple of minutes left...?

Wavely Tigers 4, South Webster Jeeps 2
Goals By Half .........1........ 2.......... Final
Wavely Tigers ........ 0....... 4............ 4
South Webster Jeeps ..0........ 2........... 2
Scoring summary: 1st Half: None. 2nd Half: W -- #16 Wiget, Chris (pk), 48:13; W -- #16 Wiget, Chris (unassisted), 50:43; SW -- #24 Goddard, Seth (unassisted), 56:59; W -- #16 Wiget, Chris (Pupero), 67:28; SW -- #10 Swords, Lance (unassisted), 71:27; W -- #16 Wiget, Chris (unassisted), 78:52.
Shots: W 31, SW 7. Saves: #12 McAllister, Luke (W) 3, #12 McAllister, L. (W) 0; #23 Charles, Nick (SW) 12. Corner kicks: W 9, SW 0. Fouls: W 12, SW 2. Offsides: W 2, SW 1.
Waverly played well and by far had more chances. South Webster played pretty tough too, but they obviously couldn't stop Wiget. He broke through with speed and skill too many times. The last goal did come late as SW pushed a key defender into the midfield to try to make something happen. The Jeeps held their own in this game.

Re: South Webster hosts Waverly 9-1-11
Waverly controlled most of this game had 3 defensive lapses which resulted in 2 goals....McAllister played well for not playing GK for such a long stretch. Waverly was definitely aggressors tonight and saying they had a few opportunities is a understatement. Webster is a solid team #7 uses his body well at the fwd position. The night belonged to Chris Wiget with 4 goals.
On a side Note.....SW's pregame music may need to be reviewed listened to 2 songs full of curse words and degrading remarks, this is High School Soccer and should be a family friendly atmosphere should not have to bring earplugs for my kids during pregame.

Re: South Webster hosts Waverly 9-1-11
I though Webster played a strong defensive game, a few defensive lapses lead to three waverly goals. Waverly had a ton of shots for sure plenty went sailing over the goal. The ball boys sure got a work out last night to say the least. Miley Cyrus haters are a dime a dozen. Waverly is the team to beat this year in soc they play a good game.
