Athens doesn't have Unioto on their schedule this year. We would have liked to have played Unioto this year especially since we're supposed to host Unioto this year and Zane Trace recently dropped our game with them leaving us one short. For some reason it wasn't scheduled between Athens & Unioto. I had talked to someone from Unioto alumni side of things, and they thought there was a game between the two of us. I'd be nice to see it happen, but it's not on there as of right now. Someone on the Unioto side of things might want to check on that with their AD. Athens has some open dates, but 9-12 isn't one of them.

Dani, the 'U' girls play Jackson on 10/13. Their slacker coach hasn't updated the OSSCA website yet.. Personally I am a little disappointed that the Chillicothe and Jackson games come after the seeding meeting. In addition, and I don't mean any disrespect we have doubled up with Minford to fill in the Athens spot - would have rather played another team not on our schedule. Still did not receive an explanation as to why they dropped us - they have ZT scheduled.

Unioto has their biggest squad yet with 43 girls. Going to be tough to find playing time for everyone but we will do the best we can.

Marietta has already had to move their game scheduled game with Athens on 9/1 to a road contest, as the game field in Marietta is not ready to be played on yet. The field was completely redone in the offseason, completely scapped, regraded and with the summer that we have had, the grass is not yet ready to be played on. Heard they are already looking at moving their first few home games, both boys and girls) and school district does not think field will be ready to be played on until late September. Tough start to a season!
