SOC (Final Week)
Should be an interesting week.
Tonight
Wheelersburg @ Minford. (Winner wins the SOC II right?)
South Webster @ New Boston - always a good game in the Stadium
Valley @ Clay - Clay has improved all season especially in the back. Might be a close one
Looks to be a wet one too

Re: SOC (Final Week)
Burg @ Minford will be a great game. It's never a cake walk beating the Falcons at home. Winner of this game wins the Gold Ball.
SW @ NB... Tigers will have their hands full. Not even the road construction in New Brownston can stop the Jeeps tonight.
Valley @ Clay: No comment.

What about West at Waverly? I'll take West. Game cancelled for tonight. Re-scheduled for tomorrow.

The Falcons will be soaring through mule town tonight...upset of the decade there boys. Burg had the SOC in hand and laid the big falcon egg tonight.
Re: SOC (Final Week)
Waverly 5
West 1
In all honesty, this was probably the closest 5-1 game I've ever watched. I don't have the official numbers, but both teams had a lot of chances in the box. Waverly's keeper had 3 or 4 very nice saves that helped keep the game out of reach. They scored 3 quick goals on crosses from the wing that went uncontested in the box, and West was unable to find the net. It's good to see Northwest and West picking it up and being competitive.
JV game finished 2-1 in Waverly's favor after West jumped to a 1-0 lead on a free kick.

Re: SOC (Final Week)
For the above comment. Don't worry. The falcons will lay a huge egg in the tourny as they always do in every sport. My tigers got took to the cleaners tonight by a inspired jeeps squad. Glenwood goes down 6-1 at the stadium. Conditions weren't too bad but the play was worse. Jeeps obviously the better team but also a punk squad. I will say a good game by the long lanky kid on the jeeps with a rat tail (not sure of name), he netted a first half goal with two helpers as he really is the catalyst for this team. Excited to see them represent the area in tourny because ghs is on a one way highway to basketball conditioning. Good luck to all area teams that have a prayer.

The RAT was definitely on for the Jeeps last night. It's really the only way I can describe the center middy for SW (not the sweaty one). And by R.A.T. I mean Ridiculous Athleticism and Technique. I would also like to give props to #13 for GHS... By far the best goal of the game with a free kick from about 20yds out. UPPER NINETY OR BUST!!! Just Beautiful.

Good to see Minford pulling it out. I wasn't there so I don't know the particulars. Did burg come out flat or were they just outplayed?
I agree though. They'll lay the golden goose egg soon enough. It's always been their style it just usually occurs when they play the pirates.

New Boston 3
West 0
Shots: West 16 New Boston 11
Anybody know what the record is for most shots without a goal in SOC play? Pretty sure West broke that.
