Some nice goals in this game. Minford's keeper also at least 3 great saves as well.

The pk goal seemed to change the game in more ways than a goal. It put Burg up and seemed to give them more momentum.

Minford didn't quit, but they just seemed to get caught on defense with only their back 4 defending.

Final was 5-2 Burg

Pretty good match recap. I figured Minford would do a little better against the Pirates. You have to defend well for the full 80 I guess.

817 had a good point about Minford defending with only 4. When Minford pushed up offensively, they really sent a strong push, but Burg in the transition was way too fast for the Minford defense without their midfielders dropping back to help. When Minford was structured with their midfield dropping back defending, Burg struggled a little. Once Burg was ahead, Minford was forced to move their mids to attack more, but as a result they couldn't defend.
