Question for soccer official or someone in the know

Is there a rule or OHSAA regulation against players chewing gum in a soccer match? A referee made my daughter spit out her gum in a game, that's why I ask.

I am unsure if it is a rule or OHSAA regulation but I have asked players not to chew gum as well when I was a ref. It is a chocking hazard. I also know at Athens with the turf they are not supposed to chew gum on the turf.
