Was hoping that someone in the SE would give us a nod... see John Glenn stayed in the same spot. Owell, literally means nothing.

Yeah I'm unsure why you haven't been nominated.

Meh, we've discussed this before. The rankings 1) mean nothing and 2) are voted on by reps and I think for the most part ppl in the se think of us as a central team.

I have noticed that the SE and East teams get little ot no respect in most polls....

If you don't like the state rankings, check out http://www.maherrankings.com

It ranks the top 500 boys and girls teams in the state of Ohio.... Updated 10-3-15....

here is what I am tracking at the top 4 boys teams in each...

Southeast
Maher # State # School
142 Wheelersburg
149 South Webster
216 15 Alexander
237 17 Lynchburg-Clay

East
Maher # State # School
79 10 Bishop Rosecrans
91 Hiland
221 Steub. Central Cath.
320 Caldwell

I'd say we (as a district) haven't earned the respect. Gotta win at the regional level vs the central district. BUT if we have a rep who believes we have teams worthy, then they need to nominate them.

Love these rankings better though. Sos in there is awesome. So I'd go with those any day.

The Maher rankings are pretty good and more realistic. I wish there was a way to get all of the scores onto the OSSCA website to make the Maher site more accurate. I have emailed a couple times to the OSSCA address to report a missing score, but they never show up on there. Filling in the missing scores would make everything more accurate.

The Maher rankings really is a good system, in theory. However, it relies on everyone entering their scores into the OSSCA website, and well that just doesn't happen.

Sorry Falcon01-Nobody thinks your teams are in the Central District. Hence the name, Southeast. The state reps know what is going on for the most part.

4th n Goal-Understand that the Administrators input approximately 65% of the scores into the website. On top of that they all coach and have full time jobs. Scores are the last thing entered, behind state and local poll issues and registrations. There are about 8 admins throughout the state with over 1000 teams. And on top of all of that, not all the schedules are entered.

I completely understand. I am not saying it is the admins fault. The OSSCA site is only as good as the USERS, and that is where the breakdown is occurring.

I don't think everyone does, but I doubt anyone is like oh hey what is Fu doing.
We also rarely play other teams from the district so nobody usually sees us. I think it's always had an affect on perception. Jmo though.

Gview there are less then 8 admins. Their is one that does the website and then two that have access to make changes if needed. The issue is with new coaches and the OSSCA has to wait until they can confirm that they are new coaches and not just a parent. Then other coaches would rather not have information out there. To many coaches have trouble being able to do things outside of soccer.

There are are more than you think.

Admins have the rights to added news stories and scores, schedules, add new coaches, and make changes to stats.
