The Athens High School Girls 2017 Super Scrimmage will take place on August 5 at the R. Basil Rutter Stadium at Athens High School, 1 High School Road, The Plains, OH.

8-8:40 Athens JV vs. Heath JV
8:45-9:25: Athens V vs Heath V
9:30-10:10: Wheelersburg JV vs. Athens JV
10:15-10:55: Heath JV vs Wheelersburg JV
11-11:40: Heath V vs. Wheelersburg V
11:45-12:25: North Adam vs Tri-Valley
12:30-1:10: Wheelersburg vs. Bishop Rosecrans
1:15-1:55: Heath vs. North Adams
2-2:40: Wheelersburg V vs. Tri-Valley
2:45-3:25: Bishop Rosecrans vs. Tri-Valley
3:30-4:10: North Adams vs. Jackson
4:15-4:55: Bishop Rosecrans vs. Fairfield Union
5-5:40: Alexander vs. Jackson
5:45-6:25: Fairfield Union vs. Jackson
6:30-7:10: Alexander vs. Fairfield Union
7:15-7:55: Alexander vs. Athens

The concessions stand will be open and selling food and drinks throughout the day. There will also be a limited number of t shirts for sale @$12 a shirt. The shirts include the names of all participating high schools.

Update:
The concession stand will be selling pizza, hot dogs, sloppy joes, sub sandwiches, nachos and drinks, candy and chips.

The Kona snow cone truck will also be at the high school stadium from 11-6.

Burg girls looked really good. Played rosecrans and tri valley tough winning both contests. Still early but they should have a solid season

I do wonder though, why didn't the burg, after going 17-1-2, beef up the schedule? Get them ready for that obvious matchup with Lynchburg down the line.

Burg adding Russell KY was a nice addition. They already have Alexander, North Adams and Zane Trace on the schedule which are the other top D3 teams in the district. I guess possibly adding some D2 teams could have been an option. Burg also has scrimmages coming up with Chillicothe and Jackson.

yeah, their schedule is almost the same and that schedule last year had an opponents record of 98-131-35, which obviously isn't good, and then they lost 6-1 to LC. Just my opinion obviously, but would have made sense to try to really beef up the schedule, and maybe not go 17-1-2, but be more ready come tourney time. THOUGH, they are probably going to advance to see LC regardless... so maybe it doesn't matter anyway.

I know nothing about Russel, so I can't comment on them. But if they are solid, then good for The Burg!

Sounds like they have a great squad and will be tough to beat!

Russell is always a solid team and went to the state tournament last year before losing the the eventual state champs Lexington Catholic. KY doesn't have divisions,so there is just 1 state champ
