But west should be better than they are. They’ve had a team for years. They need a better rec feeding HS.

No doubt that’s part of the problem, but it’s beyond obvious they can’t compete in SOC II. Getting beat 16-0 is not good for anyone.

I look at it like Northwest football...they got smoked for years playing an SOC II schedule. Since they’ve been moved down to SOC I in football, they’ve had some success and their numbers have went way up along with interest in the community. Maybe that’ll never happen for West soccer, but at least they won’t be losing 10 games/year by double digits if they’re playing an SOC I schedule.*
