According to OHSAA the Southeast District has some changes in the start times for some of the games Saturday.

Instead of the 11:00 start, the following have a different start time.

3:00 Piketon at Fairland

2:00 Portsmouth at Belpre

4:00 Fairland at Clay


According to the Portsmouth Daily Times the following also have time changes.

2:00 West Union at South Webster

2:00 Peebles at Zane Trace


The following have the early start.

11:00 Wellston at Valley

11:00 Southeastern at Eastern Brown

11:00 Westfall at New Boston Glenwood

The score was 14-0 at the half. Wheelersburg players did pass the ball around several times in the second half and substituted freely.

You realized that this is a high school tournament game, right? Exactly what do you expect Wheelersburg (#2 seed) to do in a game against the #18 seed? Kick the ball between their centerbacks for the entire game?

It looked to me like Wheelersburg's non-starters played the majority of the game.

The Southeast District Athletic Board site still shows 11:00. South Webster fans, please check with your school/coach for starting time before traveling up to Lynchburg.

Congrats to Valley beating Northwest. Did Valley and Burg play in the regular season? Should be some good Semi final games.

Burg defeated Valley 5-0.

Thanks, i figured they played, but wasnt sure of the score. Gonna be tough to knock them off.

I'll say this... My team has never gone above 9 on an opponent (not because they couldn't in my 18 years as a head coach).

One simple rule. The next goal has to be on a header from a cross. Do this in the first half after 4 or 5 goals and again in the 2nd half.

Players can still work hard to accomplish this & it makes them better players. It simply works.

I've had to rip into 2 players over the years for not following this rule, but the vast majority of my players buy into this concept.
