Heard Ben Roby was hired at NY............nice kid, good bball coach....but absolutely no vball experience, did not even apply for the job, was approached to take the job......did no one more qualified apply??? how could you not want to coach the incoming group of freshman?? I would think there would be more interest in the job, and you wouldn't have to go around the school and ask teachers to apply.... (and i heard that first hand from a teacher at the junior high who was asked to take the job).

NY job - what about Coach Stephanie? Championships, good volleyball and volleyball players were common @ NY when she was coaching. My daughter has played for her club team for the past two seasons. Stephanie has played the game, knows the game and teaches the kids. I am pretty sure that she does not have a HS coaching job. Too bad that the NY job is contracted, especially considering that Stephanie's daughter is one of the in-coming freshman for the Buckeyes.

Heard that Caldwell is returning to coach Eastern. Anybody else heard this ?

I just recently heard that Caldwell is coming back to coach Eastern volleyball, too. Reasonably reliable source. I also heard that Southern has a coach but have seen nothing official about that.
