Re: Jackson High School Summer League
It was an excellent league last year with solid competition from Athens, Alexander, Logan, Wheelersburg and more. Jackson's field house is perfect for maximum playing time....and for just $50.

Re: Jackson High School Summer League
Thanks Jay, week one went well! You folks in Jackson should be thrilled with the facilities at your beautiful new high school.
Its good to see so many local girls out trying to improve their game and having fun! Many VB acquaintances were renewed among the fans.
One of the few VB posters was interested to know who came out for the league. The HSs represented were the host Jackson with 2 teams, Alexander, Athens, Eastern, Nelsonville-York, and with crowd of girls from each, Trimble and Vinton County.
Looking forward to next week!

Thanks Cobweb for answering my question. Thanks to Jackson for hosting another summer league so the girls get a chance to play and work on skills before the season starts.
Re: Jackson High School Summer League
Why isn't Wellston playing in this summer league? After all, they are only 8 miles away!!!!

Re: Jackson High School Summer League
Wellston is not playing because we don't even have a coach yet. Some of our girls played club volleyball to get better and here we are June 8th and no coach. Our last coach knew nothing about vb and wants it again.
Re: Jackson High School Summer League
Sounds like parent-player problems to me. Meaning the parents want to do the coaching so their players can play.

jhsforever, The parents have no desire to coach, but we would like to have a coach that knows the game of volleyball. If it wasn't for the jv coach she wouldn't even been able to make out a rotation. A coach should be able to teach their players not the other way around.

This coach was also just rehired . Don't expect a lot of wins this year and it's a shame because we have girls with a lot of talent but you need a good coach.
Re: Jackson High School Summer League
We had two girls from Wellston play for our club this year. They were great kids. Hope they come back next year.

jhsforever , no parent/ player problems at all. The coach is a very nice person and got along great with all the players, just not a volleyball coach.
