Congrat to the Lady Spartans!!!! Came out strong and set the tone for the night.
Up early in first set which is kind of usual. Game 2, both teams went toe to toe. Alex really showed big stage experience in winning 27-25 (being down 24-23). Big difference up 2-0 instead of tied 1-1.

Nice send off for Alex's seniors Betsy, Lauren,Megan,Sara & Whitney

Your hard work finally paid off. Nice to bring home a State Championship to a community that is long overdue.

Alexander was efficient as possible on its romp to the state title. The Spartans never had a letdown
for even a set. They had no weakness that a team could exploit. They won seven games in the tournament—
all sweeps. They didn’t just win a state title, they embarrassed all of Division III by how easily they cruised to victories.

The other three state champions all lost at least three sets throughout the tournament. The Division I champion — Olmsted Falls—finished a perfect 29-0 but lost to Alexander in a preseason scrimmage.

so many Athens people love to spread rumors....and as always....no truth to any of them. I would doubt very serious coach j would coach anywhere else. I know it was very hard for him to tell the girls he wasnt coaching last week.
