SEOAL Volleyball

Post by Ironman92 »

How is everyone doing so far?

Guessing Warren Local and Gallia Academy are the teams to beat. Logan and Chillicothe might have a say as well. The Jackson Ironladies are off to an excellent start going 3-0 and improving each match.

Jackson will face Logan for their first home game on Thursday. Should be a good match and should give Jackson a good idea of where they stand. So far they have won at Wellston, at Portsmouth and at Ironton. The tough summer and scrimmage scheduling has paid off.

Logan swept Jackson in 3 very close games. In the middle of game 1 Jackson had several unforced errors and Logan took the 1st. In the 2nd game Jackson was up 19-13 and from that point missed 3 serves while Logan found life and played well the rest of the match. Game 3 was back and forth the whole way and tied at 20 but numerous missed serves seemed to do in the Ironladies. Logan really improved as the match went on with their receiving, setting and hitting....and solid defense. Jackson definitely looked able to win but just couldn't finish off the games very well.

Jackson now 3-1 will travel to Eastern Pike, South Webster and Chillicothe....tough road trip!

Warren beat Chilli in 5 last night. WHS plays at Maysville Saturday without 3 senior hitters (ACT Tests). Should be a good day to work on depth for later in the season.

Warren is 5-1 (2-0)

Warren Local had a chance to work in some younger girls due to 3 seniors taking ACT Tests today. They dropped games to Cambridge and Ridgewood before the Seniors arrived. The Lady Warriors the defeated Maysville in the finale bringing their record to 6-3.

Warren Local defeated Marietta in 3 straight this eve. Great win for the Lady Warriors. After a win Monday over Fort Frye in straight sets WHS now has an 8-3 record with a road trip to Portsmouth tomorrow.

WHS beat Portsmouth in 3 to move to 9-3.

Warren over Logan in 5.

The Lady Warriors had their hands full last night. Logan played intense, spirited volleyball. It was a great road win that could have gone either way.
