This is to the girls on the team. I really hope you are not reading any of this, but if you are then know this.
You are good athletes no matter where you play.
The cloud of circumstance that adults and coaches have created for you by
constantly arguing about who recruited who, and if it is right or wrong is getting old.
It is not the fault of any athlete, what adults will allow.
The fact is this, that it cannot be changed now, it will not be changed, and you can play in spite of it. Have fun on your journey. Make southeast ohio proud and win winwinwinwinwinwinwinwin

Most of us out here wish you good luck and good defense!

A trip to state once again.....Congrads ladies. You have made your school and the community proud. Keep up the hard work, enjoy the moment and bring home that gold medal......The Alexander Basketball team will be there cheering you ladies on. I never claimed to be perfect!!!!! So I made a mistake in my spelling....Didn't know that the All State info had been released yet. Great job to these fine young ladies.

Not to be negative but I'm curious, does this put a drain on the athletic department budget at Alexander High School? I mean the bus expense, team meals and overnight stay must be expensive. Does the OHSAA help out or does the department have to eat all the expense? In the old days, I thought they received meal allowances etc., but I just wondered if they still do?

My understanding is that the state helps out with meals and room expenses. The bus typically comes from donations or a person(business) helps take care of the bus expense. I am sure the Lady Spartans have THANKED many people over the last three years for their support in helping make their state trip a wonderful experience.

A BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO MR JOE EDWARDS OF MOVIES TEN FOR FURNISHING THE CHARTER BUS FOR THE VOLLEYBALL LADIES THE LAST 3 YEARS THEY HAVE WENT TO STATE. THIS MAN HAS A PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR ALL HE HAS DONE FOR THE LOCAL KIDS OVER THE YEARS. I HOPE EVERYONE WILL THINK OF HIM WHEN YOU GO TO A MOVIE. HECK ITS EVEN CHEAPER THEN THE OTHER MOVIE THEATER BY 2.50. WITH GAS PRICES DOWN, YOU CAN DRIVE TO NELSONVILLE FOR WHAT YOU WILL SAVE PER PERSON. MAY OTHER BUSINESS MAKE DONATIONS TO HELP OFFSET THE PRICE OF THE TRIP FOR THE GIRLS. AS A PARENT OF A SPARTAN, I PERSONALLY WANT TO THANK ALL THE BUSINESS THAT HAVE DONATED, NO MATTER THE AMOUNT, ANYTHING HELPS. BRING HOME THE GOLD LADIES. WE WILL BE CHEERING YOU ON.

I believe that both games will be televised on one of the Ohio sports networks. I am not exactly sure which one. The school had an awesome send off for the girls this morning. Best of luck ladies. Bring home the gold!
