when and where are all the club teams holding try-outs? any info is appreciated.

Crown City Side Out and Southern United are holding tryouts on Nov 22 at South Gallia HS.

WV Juniors should be coming up soon.

SOVC TRYOUTS:

All tryouts will be held at Adena High School located at 3667 County Road 550, Frankfort, OH.

Sunday, Nov. 8 10's and 11's 5:00 - 6:30
12's 7:00 - 8:30

Sunday, Nov. 15
18's & 17's 10:00 - 12:00
16's & 15's 12:30 - 2:30
14's 3:00 - 5:00
13's 5:30 - 7:30

i agree jumparound, my daughter has played SOVC 2 years and has loved it, good coaches and made good friends as well and has learned and gained game experience. she is looking forward to tryouts.

Yes, SOVC has had some tremendous teams. Most teams are usually ranked high, which is due to how they finish at tournaments, and they make it far in Regionals.. They also have some Nationals Teams, which is a whole different league (usually 18's)....I have been around the program for years, and compared to other southern ohio clubs, they have the best talent, experience, and coaches. If you want your girls to improve their talent to where it is at in Northern Ohio, you need to expose them to that type of play.

stopsign, could you help me with a choice of club teams for the upcoming season? I think youre real familiar with the Aleta club and your coachs are real familiar with West Virginia JRs. I talked with the people running WVJrs. and they said there wouldnt be any Warren coaches coaching there this year. Something about too many problems from last year? Since winning is not all that important and its all about girls smiling and having fun, can you tell me which club might be best for my daughter?

SOVC and Aleta are the two best clubs in the area. My daughter has played for both and they both are well run organizations. SOVC may be a little more expensive of the two but it is money well spent.

Man your a troublemaker! Anyway, I called Michelle Wherry who was listed as last years WVjuniors director to see when they were having tryouts specifically because I had heard Coach Anderson was involved with them. She informed me that she was no longer the director and that she had passed it over to Bob Spencer (Assistant coach for Parkersburg South)because noone else seemed interested in running it and she was burnt out on it because her daughters had been out of it for a while.(her oldest daughter was a starter for Duke) She had nothing but good things to say about Coach Anderson but said he had informed her that he wasn't gonna coach this year before she had turned it over because it was too much with his kids and the school team. Not sure if she gave it to Mr. Spencer by default or what but I was interested in WV Juniors because of the Warren coaches. Just my 2 cents.
