South Webster Lady Jeeps 2010

The South Webster Lady Jeeps moved to 5-1 today with a win over Zane Trace in 4 games.

The Lady Jeeps lost to a good Eastern Pike squad on the road in the first match and have won 5 straight since. They are 4-0 in SOC2 play and have two tough road matches at Wheelersburg and at Waverly next week.

Not much talk about SOC volleyball on here! Let's give the girls some recognition! I know that Wheelersburg and Waverly are very good and Northwest and Oak Hill are also having decent years.

The Lady Jeeps have a rotation of 2 juniors, 4 sophomores and 2 freshmen. Hopefully they will continue to get better and be a tough out in the division 4 tournament!

The girls have done well so far. A big match tonight as they face off with Wheelersburg. Neither team has lost in the SOC. Should be a good match.

Burg won in three. They have several seniors and never got rattled.

Webster's youth showed last night. They need to relax and play their game. Hopefully they will rebound and get a W against a good Waverly team tomorrow.

The Lady Jeeps improved to 10-3 tonight with a 3 set win vs Notre Dame.

The Jeeps are doing really well. For such a young team they have lots of talent. They need to keep working hard, finish the regular season strong and make a long tourney run.

Now 11-3 with a nice win over Minford tonight. Tough games coming up against Burg on Thursday and Alexander and Huntingon Ross on Saturday.

The Lady Jeeps drop to 11-4 with a tough loss at home against the undefeated wheelersburg pirates. This went to 5 games. the 5th set being 11-15. The jeeps started out slow and tense, but picked up the intensity in the next games and took it to 5, to give the pirates all they wanted and more.

This i believe was the first time the pirates have dropped a set? All of their wins have been in 3 in a best of 5 format? (correct me if im wrong). The jeeps should be proud. You could have easily rolled over and died, but you came out and showed how you can play.

Take this into next week, and into your tournament season, and you will be hard to beat.

The finally played like I knew they could tonight. Lost the first game 20-25 I think and then played horrible game two. The third game they came out and completely controled the net. Would love to know how many blocks they had on the night.

Burg has 5 or 6 seniors and their leadership helped them take game five. Good luck to them in the rest of their season and in tournaments.

The Jeeps need to play strong Saturday and for the remaining regular season games and then start kicking butt in the tournament!!

I peeked at the stats and Mariah Sullivan had 10 block assists and 4 blocks playable. Haley Potters had 1 block solo 4 blocks assists and 7 blocks playable . Cassie Edwards had 7 BA and Erin Homerosky had 5 BA. Those girls were like a wall at the net in games 3 and 4. It's pretty remarkable considering their two middles are a sophomore and a freshman.
