Shellie became the first girl in the history of Meigs High School to reach 1,000 kills.
Coming into tonight's match against River Valley, the four year starter needed just one more. On her first attempt of the night she hit an Emalee Glass set hard down the line untouched to the floor for number 1,000. Congratulations Shellie!

This is an awesome accomplishment! Seeing as how she was hurt for the first few games. This is great. Congrats on this, be very proud.

You are correct. Shellie underwent surgery in March for a serious knee injury. She was unable to compete in club ball and missed all summer. She returned for a scrimmage in late August and then that weekend was diagnosed with mono. She did not return to full go until the third match of the season.

Awesome accomplishment for Shellie. I knew from the time she joined our 12U ALETA team that she was going to be great. Congrats on not only being a great player but also for being a great person.
