Waverly gets by South Webster

Waverly beats Webster 6-4. May have been a let down after last night's thriller, but Morrisette is the real deal. With him on the mound, this team can surprise a lot of teams in division IV. Overall a pretty exciting game, all tied up going into the bottom of the sixth. A big pinch hit single scores two runs to give Waverly a three run lead.

it was a nail biter. very well played game by both teams. both teams had a couple mistakes that could have changed the outcome in either direction. morrissette did pitch a pretty good game. he wasnt doing as good as he is able to i thaught but still did good enough to keep it close. almost seen an upset

I agree SWbaseballFan. Both teams played very well. It ended up being a close game, Waverly just didnt show up at the beginning after the 10 inning slugfest with Burg, they were probably a little fatigued. Waverly had some nice clutch hitting from Junior Nick Moore to bring in a run and a BIG pinch hit by Sophomore Tyler Halterman to bring in 2. Waverly can play really well when its crunch time.

that was a great call by the coach to pinch hit and it payed off in a huge way, that was the turning point.
