B/L goes into the final regular season weekend with a 12-14 record. Runs have been difficult to find for some reason. I've never seen a team with this many quality hitters go cold all at the same time. The only consistent hitter has been Tyler Proctor. The good news is: If they would happen to come out of this spell right now they could make some noise in the districts. Goodluck guys!

Now I haven't seen this team play all 26 games. I have watched them 3 times, and they were not competitive at all. The tournament at Lancaster was an eye opener, this team isn't that good. Zanesville could make it three in a row as District champs and 4 out of the last 5. Good luck to all the teams in District 11.

B/L came out swinging the bats (finally) and beat Cambridge 11-6. They will now play the winner of the Belpre/St Clairesville game on Wednesday. Belpre beat Zanesville 3-1 today in game 1. Looks like Washington County had a good day.

Yep, great day at ZHS, despite the lousey seating with the new H.S. construction where the only decent seating was (top of the hill along first base line). All that wasted shade under the giant oak tree!!!!!!!!!!!

Beverly/Lowell beat Belpre/Mtta. 4-3 today.
Brandon Starr pitched a strong six innings and Evan Brockmeier went the last three to get the win on a run in the top of the ninth.
Great game played by both teams.
Beverly/Lowell now plays for the championship tomorrow, but must win twice to advance to the state tourney.
First game at 1:00 vs. St Clairesville...

Thanks for the motivational speech.

Congrats to the young men of Beverly/Lowell Legion team. They did what no one outside their local fan base thought they could do.
They played through injury after injury all season long (four players lost multiple starts in games due to injury, and one out for the season after six games.)
Hats off to all the coaches for all their hard work in getting the boys to this level...Dist. 11 Champions!!!
