Wow, 12 out of 17 from Waverly?
Not saying anything bad about this because I know the coaches well and know they are fare but I am a little surprised that no other kids from the other schools didnt come to try out?

Just not fair to the kids.

This is just a pretty darn good baseball team. We split a DH with Post 23 last night.
Those were some very good ball games. The first game at 2-1 ( post 23 )was a pitchers dual for the ages. Those kids and those 2 teams stood toe to toe and traded punches all night. There were hard hit balls, and some great defensive plays, but most of all it was 2 pitchers throwing the right pitch at the right time to get the outs that they needed. If you were there and you are a baseball fan and student of the game, this is the type of game that you always hope to see. It is a shame that one of those kids had to take the loss or that one team had to take a loss. Both teams can be proud that they were involved in such a brilliantly pitched and played game. In Branch Rickey Parks long and storied existance it has no doubt seen some great games, but for the baseball purest, this one ranks right up there.
The second game was also a good game. A little more sloppy but still there were good defensive plays and some good pitching. Post 142 wins that one 14-4 .

So, does Waverly play Bainbridge twice this weekend? One DH on Saturday and another on Sunday?

yeah they did!
they played Bainbridge B team saturday and won both contest 20-0 and 14-0
and played Bainbridge A today and won both contest 4-0 and 3-0.

i'm sure coach tony tackett will find a way for those games to get made up, because he'll want his boys playing as many games as they can this summer.

Post 142 has a makeup game tonight at 6 p.m. at Waverly High School with Washington Court House Post 25.

Post 14 has canceled all 4 games this weekend at the last minute I could not find any games at the last minute. It is sad we needed to play. Double Header at Post 62 on Tuesday start at 4:30pm. Friday at 6:30pm VS Post 134 at the VA , we split with them this year should be a good game.

FYI, Hunter, there is another thread on here about the District tournament that says Post 142 plays at 8 p.m.

Yes i know I got a call from the District Rep saying the game has been move up to 6:30. We have a meeting on Thursday and it might change again.

Just got word from Tournament Director the game on Fri is now set for 5pm at the VA. (post 134)

post 142 final season record was 18-10 its best record in years. congrats on the fine season boys hope to see you all next year to carry it on again.
