I just drove by the Field about 30 minutes ago and the lights were still on and the parking area full ... so they must still be playing or just about done.

The District Board explained at the Sectional Drawing that each site could decide if they would charge or not. If you charge you get to pay a person to keep score, take admissions, and announce. The rest of the money would go to the distict board. If you don't charge, the site is responsible for all expenses. Not a very good deal for the site. We worked pretty hard to get the field ready three days in a row. We had three good games and anyone that paid got their money's worth. Taking your family would be very expensive, but the site directors had no say over the price that they had to charge. I hope I haven't made it more confusing. Congratulations to Wheelersburg and good luck as they move on to the Regionals.

Athens does a really nice job hosting the game. It took an extra half hour to get the field ready and then the game took nearly 3 hours to play. There were a lot of full counts, throws to first, and base runners left on for both teams, not to mention 20 runs scored.

It was a well played game by burg, when they got runners on base, they scored. i believe it was 15 hits 15 runs. Wellston missed alot of oppertunities. 3 hits in the 1st inning no runs. left 11 men on base. great played game. not alot of errors by either team. best of luck to burg
