Re: Southeast District All OHIO Players
I know Farmer is only a freshman, but someone said he hit 92 on the gun, and I don't believe it. I watched him pitch against Waverly and he was only throwing in the high 70's to low 80's. Someone clarify this for me? The source said he was having an "off game" No way should an off game make you throw 10 mph less. If so, you have some problems.
Re: Southeast District All OHIO Players
Andrew Elliott - Wheelersburg, was the 1st team selection. Andrew had prior obligations with his summer team, the Miami Valley Warhawks so Thompson from Fed Hock filled in.
The Farmer kid from Piketon is legit. No, he's not throwing anywhere near 92, but he might have been the best we (Wheelersburg) saw in the tournament run. He being a freshman helped The Burg in that game with the balks & a wrong angle off of the mound. Other than that, he did the job. I look for big things out of him over the next few years. He does well at keeping runners guessing, at 1B especially. It will be fun to watch what happens with him, I wish him well.

Re: Southeast District All OHIO Players
Catcher24 this is the Poll All ohio. I think you are talking about Mizuno games this weekend. Thompson declined to play in the games due to legion obligations. Thanks for the kind words....
Trivium5 as the season went on Zach got stronger. Now I do not believe the 91 mph, however I talked to the College coach that was there and he said 86/87 consistant and hit 91 once. The kid is a great player and will only get better. Pike County will be treated to another great player. I hope the county is supportive and not jealous.

As with previous posts, the Farmer kid is legit. My son played in the district showcase/all star game and that was the first time I saw the Farmer kid.No question this kid has talent.90's no.But with age, increased strength, and better mechanics as time wears on ,he will have D-1 written all over him.
Re: Southeast District All OHIO Players
This is the OHSBCA All-Ohio list which is actually the real All-Ohio list.
The Mizuno All-Ohio games are only for seniors. It has nothing to do with being All-Ohio which can be a player from any grade.

Congatulations to all the selections. Especially Josh Myers from Portsmouth. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Re: Southeast District All OHIO Players
I'm sure with the athletic ability from Josh Myers, he'd get some offers coming in. Has anyone offered this fine young man anything yet?
Re: Southeast District All OHIO Players
To bad the people at Kyle Dingess high school did not think he was worthty of a athletic key after the year he had in football and baseball. Go figure.

Blaze, what does being worthy of an athletic key mean? Is it an award, a key to work out in the facililty-can you explain?. In any event, Kyle is a heckuva athlete and young man. He deserves all the honors he has been bestowed. I wish him luck in all of his future athletic and life endeavors.
